Revelation 12:11 says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

There is a two-fold way to find victory over the enemy of your soul, believing in and receiving Christ’s blood sacrifice for your sin by faith as the only way to salvation, and giving the testimony of the on-going work of Christ in your life to others.
Testify!

Being a part of Seize Eternity Christian Clothing is saying “yes” to the reality of it. Eternity truly can’t wait. If I am to live as Christ, then my reason for living and my focus must be on the eternal not the temporal. This trust thing is the test of Christianity. Do I trust God and the way He has made for me in today? Can I grab a hold of eternity in today? Am I willing to trust Him with my finances? Am I willing to open my mouth and share with my neighbor? Am I going to stop and help someone change a flat? Will I continue to live in comfort while others do not have that option?

I do want to go to heaven and until then I want heaven to rain down upon me so that I can grab a hold of it.

It’s time Christians! It is time to let go of the world and to truly trust in our Redeemer.

Another word for “exhort” is “encourage.”  We are to encourage each other EVERY DAY so that we are not deceiving ourselves, and on top of that, that we are not deceived by the lies of this world, the enemy, or false teachers that lurk amongst us.

I was encouraged this weekend as the pastor taught about how we can reign in this life by soaking in and eating up God’s grace in and for our lives.  Like he said, “I need Jesus.” And anyone who knows us would recognize that we all need Jesus.

It is so important that we continue in the practice of encouraging one another. This is one of the cornerstone ideas of Seize Eternity Christian Clothing. The phrase is meant to stir believers up for heaven, which is their home, and to cause us all to remember to live for what matters, an eternal relationship with Jesus.

Encouragement is something we all need each and every day. So, let’s not be stingy with it.  Seize eternity…live out God’s word from Hebrews. Lift up a brother or sister with an encouraging word.  Lead a soul to the living water of Jesus Christ.  Store up treasure for heaven, be an encouragement today!

I can say that though I kick against it sometimes, I am very thankful. God is giving me things in my life that I have prayed for for years. He is restoring, healing, building up, growing, stretching and completely hedging us in. Praise the Lord, we are in Him!

How much more do we need to get the word out…there are so many that do not know Jesus, who are not living for eternity.

According to Webster’s Dictionary, evangelism is “a preaching of or zealous effort to spread the gospel.”

Christian clothing takes the boldness to a new level. The “zealous” preaching is printed, implied, or visually displayed on the shirts, hats, or other Christian apparel.

According to Family Christian Stores, Christian retail is a $4.3 billion industry. With the emergence of Christian clothing lines to suit styles from urban to designer, Christian consumers are being outfitted to match their convictions.

Some companies have chosen to mimic popular brands or slogans by tweaking them with a Christian theme.  There are Christian clothing retail stores online and in local malls.  Though there are no new ideas under the sun, according to the book of Ecclesiastes, new Christian t-shirts seem to attract a sure buzz on t-shirt forums and in church bookstores, how much more when you see one walking down the street.

With the fast pace of people’s lives and the entertainment industry vying for our attention, Christians are able to keep up by becoming a walking billboard for Christ. When was the last time you didn’t take that moment to read the bumper sticker on the car in front of you? Bold statements have moved up a notch, from the bumper of a car to the shirt on someone’s back. It’s advertising space when you really think about it.

And what better to advertise for than the King of Kings and the forgiveness of sins. Walking in the Spirit and living a life that reflects the nature and love of Christ is the true calling. Wearing Christian clothing as part of our desire to share Jesus, wow, what a treat!

Proverbs 23:17-18 “Do not let your heart envy sinners, but be zealous for the fear of the Lord all the day; for surely there is a hereafter, and your hope will not be cut off.”

It is our hope that in creating products that herald this message, that a stirring will begin within the church. Like the verse says…”be zealous.” Be excited about trusting in the Lord and live in a way that honors Him.

The verses above clearly show that we are tempted to live like the world, envying the things they do, the things they have, and the things they indulge in. We are cautioned so that we redirect our thoughts to what is eternal, the fear of the Lord.

Friends…let us SEIZE ETERNITY!

Don’t settle for just one day!!

What an awesome encouragement it is when God chooses to bless us with confirmation of the path we are on. The pastor taught from 1 Timothy 4:7-10. The focus of the message was that “godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.” Living a godly life is a life with eternal vision, not one grasping onto this world.

“Don’t get caught up,” he exhorted, and went on to pose the question, “What am I doing that is going to last?”

This is the question I will leave you with to ponder.
